About Us – What is Different About Tire Tree Amarillo

The difference begins with our owner, Philip Nussbuam. His family owned the Amarillo Bus Company from 1926-1972. From there the family’s sister company A to Z Tire was founded and was locally owned and operated from 1948 – 2016. Philip worked for A to Z Tire from the mid 70’s until is was sold and in that time that company grew to service 7 states and employed over 250 people.

Under Philip’s father’s tutelage, he learned to be a well-versed tire buyer. He learned how to approach sourcing and purchasing to offer the best product for the best price. Today, Tire Tree of Amarillo buys tires in bulk and stocks more tires than almost any of its competitors. We buy direct from several suppliers, we don’t pay the middlemen markup thus we save our customers money. With the large selection of tires on hand, reducing the need for storage and shipping, Tire Tree is able to pass these savings on to its customers, saving them an average of 15-20% on most purchases.
